Exhibition news » The 2026 Siberian Forestry and Woodworking Exhibition will be held grandly on the shores of Lake Baikal in June

Irkutsk – The 2026 Russian Far East (Siberia) Forestry and Woodworking Expo, an annual event for the forestry industry in Siberia, will be held from June 24 to 26, 2026, at the Siberian Export Exhibition Center (253 Baikal Street, Irkutsk, Irkutsk Oblast). Focusing on the core Siberian forestry market and fostering a professional platform for the global timber industry, the expo will showcase resources, exchange technologies, and foster economic and trade cooperation.

Exhibition Information: Focusing on the Core Resource Highlands of the Global Forestry Industry

According to the organizing committee, this annual professional industry exhibition is expected to attract over 150 exhibitors from eight countries, representing the entire supply chain, including logging equipment, wood processing machinery, and forestry IoT technology. The number of professional visitors is expected to exceed 10,000, including forestry producers, processors, traders, and industry association representatives from Russia's Far East and neighboring countries.

As the venue of the exhibition, Irkutsk Oblast is one of the most important forestry regions in the Russian Federation. Its forest resources occupy a prominent position in the global forestry landscape: the forest area is 69.4 million hectares, accounting for 5% of Russia's total forest area; the timber stock is as high as 9 billion cubic meters, of which 5 billion cubic meters are high-quality mature and over-mature forests that can be directly harvested, and about 77% are precious coniferous forests such as pine and spruce. The quality of the timber has both ecological and economic value, providing a solid resource endorsement for the exhibition.

Exhibition Background: New Opportunities for Sino-Russian Cooperation Amidst the Reshaping of the Global Industrial Landscape

Against the backdrop of global economic integration and deepening regional economic cooperation, Russia's timber industry, leveraging its vast resource reserves, has become a core growth engine in the global forestry market. In recent years, the Russian government has continuously promoted the transformation of the forestry industry—by restricting log exports and encouraging local deep processing. The Irkutsk Oblast has planned the development of several timber industrial parks, including the Usolye Advanced Development Zone, creating an increasingly urgent demand for deep processing equipment and technology.

At the same time, China, Mongolia, and Russia are deepening their forestry cooperation, leveraging their geographical advantages and industrial complementarity. As a leading manufacturer of forestry equipment and technological innovation, China's cost-effective processing equipment (such as dryers, planers, and OSB production lines) and intelligent technologies (such as IoT monitoring systems and energy-saving equipment) perfectly complement Russia's resource advantages. Especially given the limited supply of equipment from Europe and the United States, Chinese companies are becoming important partners in Russia's forestry transformation.

Industry Outlook: Sino-Russian Forestry Cooperation Enters a Period of Deep Integration of "Technology + Resources"

With the global emphasis on green economy and sustainable development, the development and utilization of Russian forestry resources are ushering in new opportunities. Chinese forestry equipment companies, leveraging technological innovation, cost advantages, and localized service capabilities, have become core partners in the Russian market. This exhibition will further promote in-depth cooperation between China and Russia in forestry technology, equipment supply, and resource development, injecting new momentum into the sustainable development of the global timber industry.
