LTDP EXPO

Against the backdrop of increasing global economic integration and regional economic cooperation, China and Mongolia are deepening their cooperation in various fields, leveraging their geographical advantages and complementary industrial structures. Russia's timber industry, one of the world's most resource-rich forestry systems, exhibits significant structural characteristics in its development background and market demand. Irkutsk Oblast, as the core forestry base in Russia's Siberia region, has a logging industry with significant resource endowments and geographical advantages. To further promote industrial exchange, technological innovation, and economic and trade cooperation, the "2026 Siberian Timber Industry and Deep Processing Exhibition" is being held.

Irkutsk Oblast, located in southern East Siberia, is one of the most important forest regions in the Russian Federation. Its abundant forest resources hold a prominent place in the global forestry landscape. The Oblast's forest area reaches 69.4 million hectares, accounting for 5% of Russia's total forest area. Approximately 77% of this area consists of valuable coniferous trees (such as pine and spruce), resulting in high-quality timber that is highly competitive in the international market. In terms of reserves, Irkutsk Oblast boasts a staggering 9 billion cubic meters of timber reserves, 5 billion of which are high-quality mature and over-mature forests suitable for immediate logging, offering enormous development potential. As the core forestry region of Russia's Siberia, Irkutsk Oblast's timber industry development is highly complementary to China's supply of supporting equipment. As Russia's timber industry transitions toward modernization and efficiency, and as equipment supply from Europe and the United States becomes limited, the "2026 Siberian Timber Industry and Deep Processing Exhibition" is being held to capitalize on this opportunity.
